MCA Commercially Endorsed RYA Yachtmaster Offshore since 2011, Rich was for 5 years an RYA Instructor, but prefers to focus on the informal, ongoing training side of sailing. Approx 60,000 sea miles, 30,000 in Greece alone, Rich has vast, extensive knowledge and experience in the charter world. He is the Director of In2wind Sailing Ltd and owns Sailing Jollies, the unique concept of turning charter companies’ repositioning needs into training holidays. His calm, clear teaching style coupled with an array of tips, tricks & techniques, all mean he has been able to help hundreds of people in developing their sailing skills, knowledge and ambitions over the last 15 years. His Sailing Jollies, with 60-75% returning guests every trip, surely an industry high, are often booked 12-18 months ahead.

Francesco Della Noce
Francesco learned to sail as a child on an Optimist, where he had a brief (and limited) competitive career. After an almost ascetic education in literature, cinema, and philosophy, he pondered the meaning of life and the sacred fire of sailing was ignited within him. He has sailed among dolphins, whales, and pilot whales along the Atlantic coasts and has traversed the Mediterranean in every direction, but Greece remains his chosen destination to quench his thirst for wonder and adventure. After living in beautiful Marseille, where, between a pastis and a regatta, he became an instructor, he is ready to seize every good opportunity to set sail and navigate blue waters. He is in search of a metastable balance between sailing and his thousand passions.

Patrick ‘Paddy’ Townsley
Paddy learned to sail from an early age in Ireland, cruising both there and in Scotland in his youth. He has a practical understanding of sailing in higher latitudes. In 2013 he was recognised as the youngest skipper in a tall ships race. Paddy is Chief Instructor at MT sail and Power, an RYA training centre based in Barcelona, were he has trained many professional Yachtmaster Skippers over the past 12 years, from all parts of the world . He enjoys working with people at all levels through their sailing development. His relaxed style of teaching and skippering has received great admiration and appreciation from those who have sailed with him. Paddy has spent many summers as a charter skipper in Croatia, Greece and Spain. In addition to deliveries. He also provides training support, practical tuition and skippering with exploration teams such as Vinson of Antarctica. He is available as a skipper and trainer on jollies and private activities.
