Key Objectives:
- Gain experience and sea miles
- Plan and be part of a watch keeping system
- Night sailing, including a night arrival into port
- Yachtmaster qualifying passages 60+ miles
- Passage planning
- Using Weather Forecasts

During the trip, you will be given every opportunity to learn, take part, build your confidence and progress with your own sailing skills, all at the right pace and level for you. There will always be a Commercially Qualified Instructor/Skipper on board, enabling you to draw on his or her knowledge and experience. We will usually run a “3 hours on, 6 hours off” watch system on long passages, enabling you to gain valuable night hours. In addition you’ll be given the opportunity to fulfil passages of over 60 miles, as Skipper where appropriate an on request, which are all useful prerequisites towards your Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore. There will be a maximum of 6 people onboard plus skipper for each leg, allowing plenty of learning time for everyone.

Our ports of call and distances sailed along the way will always be weather dependent, we never have a fixed itinerary, and everyone on board will be included in the discussions about weather and passage planning. It’s a great opportunity to expand and increase your sailing experience and knowledge, to increase your skills and confidence, while enjoying this beautiful adventure.
